How to use any controller on Roblox ?(Nintendo Switch,Ps4,Ps3)
In this article we will show you how to use any controller or joystick to play Roblox. You will learn how to connect any controller in Roblox, either Nintendo Switch, Ps4, Ps3 or any other to your Windows or Mac computer.
The first step is to download the STEAM gaming platform, if you still do not know it, we leave the following download button for you to do so as it is a fundamental step to connect a controller to Roblox.
After you have downloaded Steam, registered and logged in, you just need to connect your controller to the computer, either Nintendo Switch or Ps4, or whatever you own.
Steam will detect that you are using an external controller or joystick and will show you the following message:
You will close this message and then click on the icon shown in the message which is located in the upper right corner of your screen, called “Big Picture Mode“.
A new screen will open, in which you will have to go to Settings, on the gear icon shown in the following image:
A new screen will open showing you the configuration of all the elements present in Steam, but you will have to click on “Controller Settings“.
Inside Controller Settings you must check the options according to the controller you are using, in the following image is an example of what you must check if you are using a Nintendo Switch controller. If you are using an Xbox or PlayStation controller, check only those options. If you are using a generic joystick, check the last option.
Then go back to the previous screen and enter “Base Configurations“.
Inside “Base Configurations” we will click on the option “Desktop configuration” and the options to configure our control will open, based on the control that we have chosen in the previous steps.
Configure the joystick as you like or leave it as it is by default.
After you have configured the joystick to play in Roblox, just exit “Big Picture Mode” by clicking the close button and return to the main Steam screen, where you should click the ADD A GAME button and then click “Add a Non-Stream Game” as shown in the following image:
This step is essential for everything to work, because in the screen that opens we must add our Google Chrome browser by clicking on the BROWSE button and then looking for the folder where Google Chrome is installed on your computer and clicking on its icon.
After you have added Google Chrome to Steam, just click on the PLAY button, open Roblox and you can start playing Roblox with any generic controller, Nintendo Switch control, Ps5, among others.
Just start your favorite Roblox game and you will be able to play it with a joystick.
