GameStop started doing something very interesting this week. Its stores have begun to sell Steam Wallet prepaid codes for shoppers to use for buying games at an online game retailer, Steam.

Does Steam accept prepaid cards?
You can use a prepaid card on Steam. If you want to add money or funds to your Steam Wallet using a prepaid card, go to the checkout screen when purchasing games or other content on Steam. You can find your prepaid card number on the back of your gift card, which you will need to enter.
You can add funds to Steam Wallet at any time. There is no expiration date for adding funds to your account. You can also redeem a Steam Wallet Code with a prepaid card from retail stores. The steps are the same as above.
How To Activate A Steam Gift Code
- Visit the Steam website, and log in to your account (the account you want to activate the code for).
- In the dialogue box on the page, type in the gift code from your gift card, or copy and paste it into the box if you have the E-code.
- Steam will verify the code and after a while, the value of the gift card will be added to your Steam wallet.
- Buy multiple games from game developers across the globe.
Just in time for the Summer Sale
Update 6/30: Deal is now dead again as we’ve past 3:00pm Pacific. Sorry if you missed out.
Talk about a well-time promotion. eBay is running a $15 off site-wide coupon for $75+ purchases. These deals are always popular because you can pick up prepaid game cards for cheap. Until 5:00pm Pacific tonight, get $15 off all types of gift cards over at eBay (whether buying physical or digital copies). The only catch is that you’ll need to spend more than $75. This means if you pick up at least $75 worth of Steam Wallet, PlayStation Store, or Xbox Live gift cards, they will only cost you $60.
