Let’s start with a title that deserves to be at the bottom of this list: Battlefield V Firestorm was the franchise’s first attempt at making a battle royale game, and it shows.
They tried to fit a battle royale game into an update and place everything in the world they already had. This resulted in the maps being the size of city-states! You might think it’s cool at first, but considering the vast spaces where nothing happens? It did not work.

The MOBA genre usually uses magical skills and abilities as opposed to battle royale games where firearms and equipment have been the standard most of the time. But the battle royale title Spellbreak from Proletariat, Inc. mixes the fantasy element with the last man standing mantra, making for a wonderful battle royale experience.
In this game, spells would be the main line of attack and defense for the players. These spells can also give you the ability to fly, teleport, or turn invisible as well as create explosions. There are also elemental classes for players to choose from: Wind, Fire, Ice, Lightning, Stone, and Toxic. Spellbreak breaks the usual military-themed style of battle royale games and offers a more unique experience of becoming the last spellcaster standing.
Garena Free Fire
PUBG Mobile has just over 37 million reviews on the Google Play Store. That’s a lot, isn’t it? Garena Free Fire has 85.5 million. It was also the most downloaded game globally in 2020. Its success is largely due to its popularity in Southeast Asia, India and Latin America, but this year Garena Free Fire overtook PUBG Mobile even in the United States, which means if you haven’t played yet you are seriously behind the curve.
A souped-up version of PUBG with brighter graphics, a futuristic story and more. The violence is just as tense and tense, and there are plenty of new twists thrown in for good measure. If you’re just starting your battle royale journey, this is undoubtedly one of the best places to start.
Nobody is happy with Warzone 2.0
Not at the moment, Warzone 2.0 is not the best battle royale game. For example, there is evidence that cheaters and hackers have, once again, infiltrated the Warzone platform and wreaked havoc across the board. Even a month after the release of the game, there are also continuous issues with stability and network connectivity present in the game.
There are several bugbears that constantly get on players’ nerves, such as the much faster (and seemingly deranged) TTK and much slower pacing than in the first Warzone game. This is a sentiment that has been echoed by even the best Call of Duty players, and for some, the game is nearly unplayable. For example, some of the best Call of Duty streamers, like ZLaner, wasted no time calling the game online.
A spiritual predecessor to PUBG
Arma 3 is an almost ten year old game that didn’t have a battle royale mode at launch. However, a Battle Royale game mode has been added to Arma 3 as part of a free mod. It was actually Player Unknown’s mod that added battle royale to Arma 3.
Before the release of its battle royale mod, Arma 3 was considered one of the best shooting games of its time. The game featured one of the most realistic military experiences in both weaponry and gameplay. It truly deserved all the popularity it received.
